Iranian film ‘Intoxicated Narcissus’ (Narges-e Mast) has been competing at the 4th edition of the International Folklore Film Festival (IFFF) in India.

Directed by Seyyed-Jalaleddin Dorri, the film is about an old-time designer of musical instruments who frequently meet up with a young music band in his house.

He sometimes imagines each young player as one of the famed Iranian music maestros.

Mehdi Pakdel, Mitra Hajjar, Saeed Pour-Samimi, Houman Barqnavard, Siamak Safari, Amir-Hossein Modarres, Matin Sotoudeh, Negar Abedi, Behnam Qorbani, Mojgan Akhlaqi, Hasti Farahi, and Mehdi Farajvand are on the cast list of the film.

‘Intoxicated Narcissus’ has previously grabbed two awards at the 2020 edition of the Lifft India Awards (Filmotsav-World Cine Fest).

The IFFF hosts folklore-based short and documentary films from around the world.

The 2021 edition of the event is being held on January 8-10. The festival has both online and physical screenings.
